Agreeing to These Terms

By creating an account or using Noura Insight you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What Noura Is

Noura Insight helps you record what you eat and understand it. It estimates calories, macronutrients and micronutrients from photos, barcodes and manual entries, and explains what those numbers mean.

Noura Is Not Medical Advice

Nothing in this app is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and using it does not create a clinical relationship. It cannot account for a medical condition, a medication, a pregnancy or an eating disorder. Talk to a clinician or a registered dietitian before making significant changes to how you eat, and follow their guidance over anything here. If you are struggling with disordered eating, calorie tracking may not be good for you.

Estimates Are Estimates

Nutrition figures produced from a photo are informed guesses. Portion size, hidden oils, sauces and anything out of frame all move the result. Barcode figures come from a public product database and can be out of date or wrong. Targets are calculated from standard formulas that describe populations, not you. Treat every number as approximate and correct it when you know better.

Subscriptions and Billing

Noura Insight is a paid subscription. New accounts get seven days free, and no payment details are taken during that time. At the end of the seven days the app asks once, and continued use needs a subscription.

Subscriptions are 9.99 US dollars a month or 59.99 US dollars a year. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless you turn off automatic renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within 24 hours of the end of the period.

You can manage or cancel a subscription in the Apple ID settings on your device at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for. Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple rather than from us. Prices can change, and Apple will tell you before a changed price applies to a renewal.

Your Account

An account is a username and a password. There is no email address on it, which means there is no way to reset a forgotten password and no way for us to prove an account is yours. Keep your password somewhere safe. You are responsible for what is logged under your account, and for not storing information about other people without their agreement.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.

Acceptable Use

Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer or resell the app, and do not use it to build a competing product. We can suspend or close an account that does.

The App Itself

The app, its design and its text belong to us. What you log belongs to you.

Availability and Changes

Features can change, and the photo and chat features depend on services we do not run and cannot guarantee. We may change, suspend or stop parts of the app. If we change these terms in a way that matters, the updated version appears here with a new date, and continuing to use the app means accepting it.

No Warranty

The app is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, or accurate for your particular body or your particular meal.

Limit of Responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for health outcomes arising from decisions you make using the app. Nothing here limits anything that cannot legally be limited.

Ending It

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time from the profile screen. Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription, which is held by Apple and has to be cancelled there.

Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support for it.
